Who we are
CF Benidorm Talk (www.cfbenidormtalk.com) is an unofficial, non-profit fan site run by Duncan Oldham in Spain. Duncan is responsible for any personal data collected through the site. You can contact him using our contact form.
What we collect
We don’t ask you to register, comment or sign up, and we don’t sell or share your data for advertising. The only data we collect comes from:
- Google Analytics. If you click Accept on our cookie banner, Google Analytics records anonymous information about your visit, such as the pages you view, roughly where you are, your device and how you found the site. We use this only to understand which content supporters find useful. If you click Decline, Analytics doesn’t set any cookies.
- Hosting and security. Like every website, our hosting provider and Cloudflare, which protects and speeds up the site, briefly process your IP address and technical details to deliver pages and block attacks.
- Contacting us. If you use our contact form, we collect the name, email address, subject and message you provide so we can respond to your enquiry. The form also uses Cloudflare’s anti-spam protection to help prevent automated submissions. If you contact us through social media or by email, we use your message only to reply. We keep contact-form messages for up to 12 months from the date we receive them, unless we need to keep them longer for an ongoing enquiry or to meet a legal obligation.
Cookies
- Your cookie choice (essential): If you accept cookies, we remember your choice for 24 months; if you reject them, we remember that for 24 hours and then ask again. You can change your choice at any time via Cookie settings in the footer.
- Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*): set only if you accept, and kept for up to 2 years.
- Cloudflare security: may be set to protect the site from bots. It’s essential and short-lived.
You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page, or by clearing your browser’s cookies.
Legal basis
We use Analytics only with your consent. Hosting and security processing is necessary to run the site safely, which is our legitimate interest.
Third parties
Google (Analytics) and Cloudflare may process data outside the EU under the European Commission’s approved safeguards. We don’t use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to how it’s used, or withdraw your consent. Get in touch using the details above. You can also complain to Spain’s data protection authority, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update it here.
