CF Benidorm’s postponed home fixture against CD Olímpic has been rearranged for Wednesday 2 December, with kick-off at 20:00 at the Estadio Municipal Guillermo Amor.
The new date has now been approved, allowing the match to take place at the club’s home stadium once the scheduled pitch reseeding work has been completed.
The two sides were originally due to meet on Sunday 18 October, with a midday kick-off, but the fixture was postponed following a red weather alert affecting the area.
The Valencian Football Federation (FFCV) subsequently instructed the clubs to agree a new date by 9am on Monday 26 October, initially stipulating that the match should be played no later than Thursday 19 November.
However, approval has now been granted for the fixture to take place on 2 December, giving the club additional time to complete the work on the playing surface at the Guillermo Amor.
The rearranged encounter will see two of the leading sides in Grup Sud meet in what could prove to be an important fixture in the promotion race.
